Do you see even what you do ? Your way of framing this argument can only lead to a fight.

Of course you have to be 2 to fight, so I'm going to be reasonable and just drop the matter. I don't NEED to be right. Have a nice day.

-sigh-

There I was thinking this was a reasonable discussion and it gets dragged down to a childish "yah boo well you're just wrong" level. Fine, you "win" :)

Dude, why are you still arguing? You were shown to be wrong and talking out of your rear end.

Just stop already.

That’s the old “let me frame your argument as something else and easily dismiss it” trick.

This frame has nothing to do with what I had in mind. Please let go of it completely and re-read my comment.

Thanks for proving my point.

Edit: Oh, you're the grandparent comment. I explicitly wasn't talking to you, since you're not even pretending to argue in good faith.

Do you not see how you're arguing in favor of his/her point?

That's right. Thanks for pointing out.

However if I were to play smart I'd say I didn't have any argument and was just refuting my parent's :)

I'm sorry, friend, from my perspective it seems quite obvious you're not arguing in good faith, and I have no interest in chasing your goalposts.

You take care now.

Isnt that literally what you were doing in the original comment? Telling someone they’re wrong?

Parent comments after yours don’t seem argumentative to me, just conversational

This seems to deliberately ignore the pretty reasonable argument being made.

If you can't address the argument the other person makes, it seems like the more reasonable thing to do is acknowledge that fact, rather than just ignore their point entirely.

Please consider the guidelines:

When disagreeing, please reply to the argument instead of calling names. "That is idiotic; 1 + 1 is 2, not 3" can be shortened to "1 + 1 is 2, not 3."

I think you just like arguing for arguing's sake so I will bow out here.

I suppose the adult way of arguing is to call other arguments childish?

I'm sorry that I can't recognize your authority (built on reading a few articles) at face value. At least have the decency to link to some of those articles.

How can an article determine the fair value of anything anyway?

If you're going to argue with me, please at least argue against something I actually said.

If you'd rather continue arguing with yourself, carry on, I won't interrupt you again.

You are appealing to authority (and ad hominem) without giving an argument.

I respectfully disagree, and will remove myself from this conversation.

Looking at your other comments it seems that you are just arguing out of habit or stubbornness so there is not much point in trying to point out aspects that might bring nuance to it.

Have a mice day.

Losing the argument sucks right? Guess you'll have to get use to it. I know I'm right while you do not know, so you're wrong. It's hard to argue against pure logic like mine... Maybe one day you'll understand.

Is that your 'argument'? Insults?

Maybe you should think about why you can't prove your point of view, and why you need to resort to name-calling.

So? What do you think I'm arguing for here?

I prefer arguing by reason, not making arguments from authority.

Please, make your arguments yourself instead of telling us how your dad is the boss of Xbox or whatever.
