Wouldn't you have to buy one to try it out for two weeks?

How long?

Buying a week or less isn't worth the damage to the economy.

For $80k I could probably hire someone for a few months to discover one for me. Why would I buy one on the open market if that's the case? As a bonus, hiring someone may produce more than one 0day.

Thinking the same thing. I could always buy it and use it for two months and if I don't like it I can sell it for nearly the price I paid for it. Probably will sell for at most $50 less and just think of it as a "rental fee".

Why don't you just buy the damn thing ?

What if you only just bought it?

I'll wait and see the outcome of the device based on reviews, and then decide how I feel about it, and whether or not I should buy one or not. I've got a bit of time till my 2 year contract ends.

And if someone needs one this week instead of waiting 2-3 weeks, then they're free to spend $300. Otherwise the seller is just playing to buyer's stupidity. Oh well.

Why don't you buy it?

So why not wait a few months and buy one?

if the weekend project has a buy button and a product, yes

That is only if people buy the thing.

You can definitely afford one in a few days.

There's new units on sale every week. Alternatively, buy a second-hand one.

Can I actually buy this gadget already?

Because you'll buy one regardless.

Well you can always test the market, it won't hurt anyway.

You have to buy it first.

...but if you aren't back here in a week buying something else we just might.

I mean, they're letting you buy the damn thing, so once you purchase it, you can see if it holds up.
