I actually haven't read much more than academic papers, but I do plan on ordering this book: http://www.amazon.com/Blockchain-Revolution-Technology-Chang...

I second this. It's good both as an introductory book for someone new to blockchain and for someone with more experience looking to round out their knowledge.

Can you recommend a good introductory book into the blockchain?

I find these three books entertaining.

[Blockchain Revolution by Don Tapscott, Alex Tapscott](https://www.amazon.com/Blockchain-Revolution-Technology-Chan...) [The Business Blockchain by William Mougayar](https://www.amazon.com/Business-Blockchain-Practice-Applicat...) [Digital Gold by Nathaniel Popper](https://www.amazon.co.jp/Digital-Gold-Bitcoin-Millionaires-R...)

If you want to dig deeper, read [Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas M. Antonopoulos](https://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Bitcoin-Unlocking-Digital-C...).

Still have limited understanding of Cryptocurrency and blockchain in general :(

I need a good book on it all.

I would also recommend this book. It takes a very practical approach of introducing a problem which exists with the blockchain and then how to solve it. It gets you thinking the correct way. Then if you want, you'll have the basic understanding to dive into the theory and math behind each technology.

I can recommend "Attack of the 50 Foot Blockchain: Bitcoin, Blockchain, Ethereum & Smart Contracts" by David Gerard. Excellent stuff.

> preferably books and not random blogs

The tech in Blockchain/Web3 world is changing and evolving incredibly fast (as is evident from this historic event today) and so by the time books come out, they already become outdated.

I would highly recommend reading Vitalik's blog[1]. He talks about various topics and has a knack for explaining things brilliantly.

I'm glad to have finally pushed myself to read and learn more about all this sense it does seem to be hitting the mainstream.

Here's a shit ton of reading if you're interested:

Alright, so there's always a way to get my transaction through, nice.

Would you have any resource that is worth checking out to learn more about blockchain? I don't care about market analysis, economy. I just want to understand the underlying technology to know what's happening there. Book would be fine too.

Do you have any good resource book/course/blog on blockchain technology? If possible for IoT, but not necessary.

Main focus should be on design and implementation without business and sales bullshits. I'd like to deep dive on concept, architecture, implementation guideline, etc.

Thank you indeed

After mostly ignoring the hype over the past several years, I’m looking to learn about blockchain tech.

Though technical myself, I’d like to start with a less-technical overview of the technology and it’s potential, before taking deep dives into the more technical aspects. There seem to be a number of well-reviewed books on Amazon, but given how new the space is and how fast things are changing, I’m not really sure what to trust/where to start, and was hoping the wisdom of the HN community could point me towards some good starting resources :)

Is there a similar reading list for bitcoin or cryptocurrencies/blockchain in general?

So much stuff you can learn in the computer science world. For me the blockchain still is more or less a black box, should read a book about this stuff, as it seems to be hyped everywhere ;-)

Thanks :)

Blockchain Revolution by Don Tapscott, Alex Tapscott (Author)was on of my favorite when starting to learn about this space.

Not super high level in terms of learning to program your own stuff, however it was quite informative.

Apologies for being off topic, Can anyone here suggest a good course/ book for blockchain?

I have lots I can recommend, but what are you most interested in learning about? Do you have any prior understanding of blockchain protocols? For example, I can link to interesting papers and documentation on Bitcoin, Monero, etc.

the closest you'll get to that is probably vitalik buterin's upcoming book "proof of stake: the making of ethereum and the philosophy of blockchains"

That was a good write up. I am reading Vigna and Casey’s Cryptocurrency book right now. I am actually more interested in block chain tech in general than Bitcoin.

Once I read http://www.amazon.com/Stone-Economics-Routledge-Classic-Ethn... I'll do an analysis of Bitcoin.
