I agree 100% with you. I am working on a modular version of the script and I will update the code soon. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for the feedback -I'll share at once with my colleagues. The code is open source though, it should be reasonably easy to add these features.

Thanks, and great suggestion! Would you mind opening an issue on GitHub for it? I'll probably get around to implementing it soon.

I like the idea, but I want it to be embeddable and since I'll mostly be embedding this in some syntactically C-like language, I would like the scripting syntax to not look so out of place. I updated my previous post to say as much.

Oh hey, this is awesome! I thought about doing something like this but then opted for the (ultimately more flexible) python script.

Im with you. This is great and clever, but I would have to maintain code like this.

Great tutorial! I’ve always wondered how this is implemented, and how I could add it to my scripts. The interface seems simple enough.

I will certainly apply your suggestions to the code. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. The code is open sourced on github. Feel free to do a pull request with your approach and I'll take a look at it.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

I fixed up quite a few things based on it! I'll keep on working on the code and hopefully will have some more tangible to share at the end of the summer :)

It's a good idea. I'm going to implement similar functions soon. Stay tuned :)

Makes sense! I'll have to figure out a way to incorporate that because my current code structure is kind weird, but when I do I'll let you know! Feel free to sign up for the newsletter so I can notify you when that feature is ready! :D

Looks very interesting. I will look over the code in next couple of days :)

I have written this code 5-6 years ago, there is definitely room for improvement :)

Thanks so much for your words. Happy to share our demo code, would love your feedback. If you think it makes sense, drop me a line at john [@] zecoda.com

Thank you!

I'll think about sharing the code. Large code parts - while working - did not pass my quality bar, since I did not have enough time to clean and refactor while learning. But maybe that's fine. Hmm.

That sounds great - is your code available anywhere so we can build on it?

Thanks, I will work on incorporating these changes. In my defense it was my first project and I was solely focused on getting the results and didn't focus much on making the code "accessible"

Thank you so much for the feedback. This is an amazing idea. I will probably be working on this next thing as a separate command :)

Definitely. This could be the next step in my exploration of programming techniques to solve this problem. I will have a look at your implementation.
