I switched to chrome only because firefox became unbearably slow over the last 2 major updates.

I switched to Chrome a year ago and while it was a little rough at the start I am very happy overall now. Shame but Firefox was just so much slower that it was annoying me. Plus Chrome syncs everything much better than Firefox ever did.

Switched to Firefox a month ago. It was worse.

Since then I became more thankful of Chrome(Chromium to be exact).

I have switched from chrome to firefox on desktop just recently, because chrome accumulated so many usability problems that i can not stand it anymore.

A decade or so back Firefox was just so fucking slow and Chrome wasn't. So I switched. It's fixed now so I switched back.

I used to be an avid Firefox user. I switched to Chrome because it was faster and had all the same extensions I used on Firefox. Why should I switch back? Chrome is still faster no?

I've been using Chrome for a long time now.

Then I had to go back to Firefox on the company computer. What a disappointment. Still slow as hell.

Around 2011 I switched from Firefox on my macbook pro to Chrome because Firefox was unusable because it was too slow.

I finally made the switch a few months ago. I have no regrets. I used to use Firefox back in the windows XP days before chrome even existed, but since Chrome came out I've been sort of stuck in it largely because the gsuite integration and the fact that I am part of 7 different google organizations that I have to juggle.

What killed chrome for me is the gradually failing linux support. Had a persistent bug on all my linux machines with chrome (and chromium) would only update the view if the mouse is moving. I actually put up with that for a few months before I switched to FF.

I was waiting for someone to come out and say it. 6 months ago, I couldn't imagine using another browser regularly but chrome has become so slow for me, I can't stand it. I switched to Firefox.

Never switched to Chrome. Firefox worked just fine for me all this time.

Thank goodness i switched to FireFox long time ago But i still have to use chrome as it makes some Google applications slow on firefox which I hate

I switched from Chrome to Firefox 6 months ago when Google started playing games with it's ad blockers.

All of my Chrome extensions and features were supported by Firefox and I was a happy camper.

Then two problems got to me:

1. Slow performance on web apps like Gmail (use it for work)

2. Firefox regularly crashes (more than 10 times per day)

I'm trying to switch to the Brave browser (Chromium) now, but I was almost a Firefox convert.

Firefox became better, Chrome became worse. Every week one time I have to start Chrome for something.

I switched to Chrome years ago and every time I try Firefox it feels sluggish, so I don't switch back.

Last time was a week ago :\

I have been a hardcore Firefox user and fan but Chrome was something I was really looking for. A browser with no confusing colors, hundreds of extensions and more.

I downloaded Firefox 4 and I liked it but after a couple of minutes I didn't resist not going back to Chrome.

Switched to Firefox a few months back. Havn’t missed Chrome at all

Most of the people I know moved to Chrome because Firefox was sucking sixteen variations of arse and getting worse.

This seems like an attempt to rewrite history. I was an avowed Firefox user, but Firefox was slow. I bought a EEE PC and Firefox was just too heavy to run, whereas Chrome ran fine.

Eventually all my computers ran Chrome because Firefox wasn't the best option anywhere any more.

I switch between Firefox and Chrome. Love Firefox, but for heavier websites and apps, Chrome unfortunately just performs so much smoother. For example I have to use google drive and onedrive to edit documents throughout my day - it's literally night and day between FF and Chrome.

At this point I can only hope that google docs, onedrive, and other bloated webapps get optimized to run on other browsers. I'm not holding my breath.
