We are working to bring great fundraising software to educational institutions. Too many are stuck using software that looks and feels like it was built in the 90's. Our mission is to ensure that schools have the resources they need to deliver the highest-quality education possible, and that education is affordable and accessible to everyone.
Who we are looking for:
- Ruby and Rails expert - Comfortable working on the front-end and back-end, but skews toward the back-end.
- Enjoys building new features, from idea to supporting it in production
- Passionate about education
We are also hiring for multiple roles in business development, from Business Development Associate, to Sales Executive, and Partner Success Lead. You can read more about them at https://www.givecampus.com/careers to see if any fit your particular skill set and interests.
We are a team of four, and are really excited to bring high tech to the education space.
Please email careers@givecampus.com with your resume, any past projects you're proud to show us, and a note about yourself to apply.
We are based in Washington, DC, and are looking for people here, in the SF Bay Area, or someone who wants to to move to DC.

We are GiveCampus, and we build fundraising software for educational institutions. Our goal is to build innovative software so schools can raise money, and make it cheaper and more accessible for everyone. 25 of the top 50 colleges in the US already use GiveCampus, and we are growing faster than we can currently build!
Our engineering team is currently still small, and we're looking to add to the team to keep up with our continued growth.
Our ideal candidate:
- working professionally for 2+ years. Not currently hiring fresh bootcamp grads.
Front-End
- great front end chops, but can still manage some of the backend functionality as well.
- eye for clean design (though not necessarily need to be a designer), and be able to implement and iterate quickly.
Full-Stack
- can do css down to database queries, and be comfortable with everything in between.
- enjoy owning a feature or product, from idea to deployment, and support/iterating in the hands of users.
Our stack is Ruby on Rails, with mostly vanilla JS on the front end, and we're moving toward React where appropriate.
Michael Seibel, CEO of YC, expects us to be a household name in the next few years: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13896296. We were also covered by the Washington Post last year (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/grade-point/wp/2016/04/19/colleges-are-going-online-to-crowdsource-donations-and-theyre-raising-millions/), and have more than quadrupled the number of schools using our software since it was published.
Shoot us a message at careers@givecampus.com with your github and a little about why you're interested in GiveCampus!

GiveCampus is a Y Combinator-backed company that builds fundraising software for educational institutions. We're tired of schools being stuck with crappy software that never changes, and we're working to bring actual innovation to the space, and solve the hair-on-fire problems fundraisers face.
We're growing at an awesome pace, and now need more motivated engineers to help us build out the features and products schools want!
We're still a small team, so if you're looking to join a fast-growing startup and have an immediate impact, we're looking for both full-stack (Ruby on Rails, Postgres) and front-end engineers with at least 2 years of professional experience. Our current team was previously with Facebook, Amazon, and Intel.
Please no recruiters or dev shops.
Reach out to careers@givecampus.com with a bit about why you're passionate about education, and a project you've working on that you're particularly proud of.
