I said "interpreted as racist."

Yes. And I said I don't know why it could be "interpreted as racist." and followed it up with my reasoning.

Where did you see "racism" in that comment?

Can you explain what I said that was racist?

Were you saying something racist? I'm just asking.

I agree, I do not think it was racist. If you cannot contrive of a way that this could be "interpreted as racist" it is hard to continue the conversation.

That interpretation originated from your mind, racist.

It was a racist comment

If this statement didn't have racist intent, how would you know?

If you used that wording, I'd have called you racist too.

When being referred to in the manner described, it's being used as a proxy for race, so that was indeed racist.

What was racist about what they said?

If you're implying that it mean "racism" that's not a very good-faith reading.

I was shocked for the same reasons. Did the author of the comment not see it's so blatantly racist?

If "unknown languages" and imagery of incense isn't racially coded I'm not sure what is. The statement was plainly racist, whether it was intentional or not.

Maybe "racist" was not the best choice. Feel free to replace it with "discriminatory" instead.

"...and quite possibly even racist." No need to read further, what an absolutely stupid thing to say. Maybe the author should open a dictionary and look up the word "racist". (I hope he did in the years after he wrote that.)

What's racist about it? I chose my language pretty carefully.

Your statement couldn't be more racist.

"I've inferred 90% of a word you didn't write. Verdict is you're racist."
