This is a good business model you guys are aiming for. I think people would definitely pay for custom branding and you're solving a current pain point! Would have used this in a couple of projects I've been involved in.
I likely will re-brand/re-position it based on feedback here. Different domain too. Unfortunately, my graphic design skills kinda suck (as I'm sure you noticed) - my cofounders usually handle that, but this was a bit of a pet project, and they've been working on our main idea while I tried to get this out without spending too much time on it.
1) What's the process to integrate this into an existing application?
2) I'm curious about your choice of branding. Your website & logo looks really clean -- was there anything in particular you guys discussed when deciding on brand colors, design of logo, and overall look & feel of your product?
I look forward to checking it out when it's live! Have you thought about including designers? It might make your audience larger. Designers are usually part of the dev process so I think it would still make sense with your name.
This is really cool, some great logo redesign inspiration.
A couple of thoughts:
1) If you make the logo designs page shareable (step 2, https://mybrandnewlogo.com/logo-designs), I would love to get feedback from a few people. If you don't want to store things persistently, even storing the input params (name, color, slogan, etc) in the URL would be great.
2) I love that the name can be read as my "brand new" logo, or as my brand, new logo.
I like your idea - sort of wave-esque. The way you addressed the encapsulation of topics in an uncluttered interface is definitely important. You might want to put some thought into a logo redesign since it looks so much like Ubuntu's. Aside from that, congratulations on the launch! I'll be taking it for a spin later this weekend.
Very nice! My only thought is that I wish you'd update it every week with new designs, and then sort of open it up so others can contribute their logo's for others to use, something like a logo-bazaar with regular updates. I think you'd attract quite a few artists willing to participate akin to DeviantArt, although with a commercial twist.
Bookmarked for another visit in a few months just to see what sort of progress you'll have made .. good luck!
Thanks for the feedback. I want to have better info on the individual companies by somehow incorporating their logos - I'm considering a modal or a popover at the moment.
The subtle grey background is a good suggestion. I'll experiment with some things, and if you do anything cool on a fork, please put in a pull request!
