It's not possible to do that and use the fast JavaScript engine from WKWebView. I'm sorry but you have no idea what you're talking about.

sort by: page size:

I don't - but check out WKWebViewController ... and its WKScriptMessageHandler delegate, which lets you receive messages from javascript embedded in the currently viewed page.

That doesn't work because you need the javascript as well.

How one can change JS engine? Any source for confirmation? As I know WebView only allows us to eval a string as js in the page's context.

You can use JavaScript, but it needs to be an enhancement, not necessary for the user to do what they need to do.

Then you'd need a JavaScript interpreter. Which would be terrible.

You don't have to. You can totally use JS for these in Liveview

Thanks. I was thinking about that but really enjoy not requiring JavaScript, however maybe its worth it. I'll try it out

You can script it with JavaScript from the browser.

I'm waiting for other people to tell you to implement this, but without JavaScript.

Sorry, it's very-very complicated to get it working without javascript.

That's a horrible idea. You should use javascript instead.

cool project but please don't. There are python scripts that do exactly that with 100% less javascript.

Great. Now make it work without javascript and you'll have me sold.

Then it would require JavaScript and wouldn't be a nice demonstration for my web server library. :)

It's simple , use shitty Javascript.

Could you also make it work without JavaScript enabled? I'd like to be able to use it with text-mode browsers.

Show us how to make it work without JavaScript then.

This is a really great idea. But couldn't it done without JavaScript?

Just use JavaScript.
