Then why did you include a picture of the submission in that tweet?

Also you ignored the first picture which clearly shows your account.

Why?

No, you are not getting access to post from my Twitter account.

It is interesting that you didn’t say “that’s not my twitter account” … is it??

Twitter doesn't make you create an account to see what other people are posting.

Pass.

Edit: my bad, it wasn't clear in your post that you were promoting your tweets using Twitter.

Suggestion: post before tweeting.

I'll probably do that next time. I didn't think it would matter! (And really it doesn't -- it's not as if I need the karma points.)

> But that doesn't show the first tweet in the thread like in the screenshot.

The second tweet is the one highlighted in the screenshot, and that's why I posted the link to that one. The screenshot has all the relevant information, and the link allows those with an X account to go and look at the whole thread.

I did that, and that's explicitly why I chose to link to that second tweet. If you have an account you get to see the whole thread. If you don't have an account then the screenshot gives you all the relevant information.

They have to be lying. There is nothing special about those @replies - if anything, it would be more difficult not to show them than to show them.

They are still running the regexp to replace @twittername with a link anyway (because it works if the @username appears later in the tweet).

C'mon, just post the link to the original content, not your twitter profile + tweet.

Actually, I don't have a twitter account.

Sorry, misread the "user profile" part, I thought it was the lone linked tweet/thread

Oh hey, I can see this tweet.

How is that possible? I still can't see this person's profile.

Based on retweets?

Why do I need to login to see it though ...

I don’t understand, isn’t that what I did? Or I suppose, a link to a reply with screenshots of tweets clearly posted to Twitter?

Why are you crossposting your own tweet here?

Just a quick pet peeve. Your Twitter link text in the header says "@mailgun" but your twitter username is "@mail_gun".

:)

This isn't a rebuke at all or a request to post your content elsewhere, but it seems that a lot of regular Twitter users may not realise that you can't access links like yours without being logged in to Twitter.

Not saying you should care, just pointing it out.

Reading the edited title, I wasn’t going to click through to Twitter. I figured it was just a one line tweet that wouldn’t explain much.

After reading hammock’s comment, I clicked the link to see the picture. The ‘[pic]’ suffix to the title was informative, no need to remove it.

But that doesn't show the first tweet in the thread like in the screenshot.

I recommend everyone sharing social media links to see what it looks like in a private browser window, because the logged out experience is usually bad and sometimes unusable.
