You could always email them to find out.

I find it easy to understand; I would assume that the answers to your questions are yes, yes, no, no, no, likely depends on commercialization (i.e interest from governments; hardly even a policy decision).

If it works, they can sell it to governments I assume.

Likely not if they're able to make profit from it...

Probably not. However, a large portions of their customers are integrating them into industrial products because of their cost-effectiveness or scalping them to sell at a markup.

This is a topic that we're still hotly debating. Since we haven't yet been able to fully gauge the level of interest and the size of our potential market, it's hard to give a definite answer. But, we're very open to feedback.

Possibly. It depends on how well they do exports.

Well, I think this questions would benefit more people so I'll ask in public: are there any plans for a commercial offering? Thanks!

Supply-demand dynamics at play. The general answer is no, though. Chances are higher if you use these in your own domain and become an applied expert or if you win some competition on Kaggle or similar tough envinronment.

It seems unlikely. So far they seem to be doing a great job of lobbying, and convincing the government of the idea that competition is only a click away.

Perhaps surprisingly; yes. Most likely only because the population density of tertiary markets still allows it.

It might, if it does not found as "for profit". Where this line will be drawn is unknown.

Only if you talk about it in English which is a fraction of the potential market.

Probably not - even though it may be more lucrative in terms of CPM, it's kind of cheap.

Probably, but only so long as it's profitable.

As a commercial venture, absolutely. There will always be folks willing to buy the dream they sell.

Absolutely, because I'm making the assumption this will be marketed as a product / service. The initial costs will be quite high, as it's a new service. Rich people will buy the service, market forces will keep the prices high, as the only people who can initially afford it will have means to.

Will it make money? Will it kill people?

If the answers are yes, and not too many, most companies will go ahead.

Not at this time, as it is potential core profit center :)

But if this is true and can be demonstrated, I guarantee that there are people who will want to try to commercialize it.

I don't know, but this service seems like it will facilitate & stimulate development of that market.
