Wow "soros.news" sounds like a really legitimate news source! Would you say they on par with WSJ and Financial Times? Maybe even better?

This news source is funded by George Soros.

Wow- Soros is pretty good!

Can you point to any legitimate source that says George Soros is funding the protests? Or are you suggesting real news outlets are purposefully not reporting this?

Related news (found on axios): Soros and other good guys have founded Good Information Inc. (actual company name, not a joke) to fight "misinformation", promote "good" news and take care of dumb peons in general who can't be trusted in forming their own opinions (for those opinions may be ungood).

Except they give Soros the old-fashioned (harmless New Dealer type) moniker and they conjure dragon imagery for the right winger. Why is it so hard for journalists to write neutrally these days?

The Times actually did a great writeup on this exact thing recently: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/31/us/politics/george-soros-...

It's a hit piece from a Soros backed organization, with the typical astro-turfing and other tactics.

I don't have to trust the site, since these facts are already well known. It's an article from 2011. Also I'm very familiar with the defunct Soros/OSF Foundations activity during the 90s and 2000s in my country and George Soros' own discourse. I used to read his articles before 2013, when the EU was all rosy.

So weird to be (re)reading this article on a site that is basically a Soros front.

Talk about propaganda, please provide any evidence that dailykos is funded by soros.

If its good enough for George Soros, is good enough for me :-)

Welcome to the Soros funded news cycle. Use whatever means necessary to destroy your political opponents.

Besides the points you raise, how do we know the info being made available hasn't been filtered to avoid friendly fire?

There isn't a nickel's worth of difference between most of the elites, but Soros funding of these sorts of things is usually self serving.

I do see mentions of Soros from time to time in the local press (Romania). Usually happens when bigger institutions can’t be publicly blamed for interference in internal politics.

There’s even satire material which I find hilarious where he’s blamed for the cold weather and stuff like that.

It amuses me that the right demonise Soros when, eg., the Kochs and Murdoch are far more influential in political dabbling.

I dug into this and is totally true. Soros is the head of a crime/power syndicate that is so crazy connected that they control the media, tech, even AI.

Soros have ideas and ideas are good for democracy

In Hungary they are trying to shut them down

Big little difference

Yes, Reuters themselves were conflicted on this: https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/blogpost/post/reuters-f...

I’ll admit that it’s hard to prove. Soros surely didn’t fund it directly from his checking account.

I do think there’s good consensus that OCW was externally funded, and not genuinely organic.

I guess I am not currently litigating whether Soros is evil or not. I think his points are real and others also endorse them.

I guess this is sort of a weird article, just saying what others have said but this time repeating it because the source, Soros, is unique and for some has more authority because is very wealthy. Basically nothing is new in the criticisms.

Interesting that you plucked George Soros out in particular. Is this /pol/?
