How many big tech HQ's meet that criteria?

sort by: page size:

every sufficiently large company is to some extent a tech company.

you have only named a few though; 'almost every single large tech company' requires a particular definition of large tech company or a lot more than a few to be a useful(ly true) statement

Isn't that every big tech company?

Exclude tech giants. FORTUNE100 or FORTUNE500 something like that.

The same is true for many tech companies.

And you know that because you've worked at which large tech companies, exactly?

This is true of most (perhaps all) big tech (perhaps all) companies.

IBM has 426,000. AT&T has 294,000. GE has 287,000. Those are big companies at least in the tech community.

That's pretty much all tech companies besides some young startups.

There are a ton of large tech companies once you get beyond the obvious "hot" ones.

It seems like the majority of the top 50 or so tech companies do.

Big tech companies are extreme outliers. There's only a small fraction of big tech compared to other companies.

Which specific companies have they been cherry picked for? Are there any set of numbers that you would like more to generally capture the concept of large tech giants?

They are seen as the top five tech giants. That's probably what the author meant.

Big 4, Big 5, or however many big tech co’s you want to include. Google/Amazon/Facebook/Apple/Microsoft

we’re talking about tech companies, see above.

Sadly, most big tech companies have substantial US operations, if not headquarters.

So "Tech Giants" are "anyone with >250 employees"..

That's a mighty tight clutch you have on those straws.

> Apple, Microsoft, Google, Mozilla - four of the largest tech companies

One of those is not like the others.
