This is actually a great application of bitcoins, because you don't really need to know anything about the donator. An address or QR code is all you need (no registration, specifying email address etc.). And an extra benefit is that you can see how much they collect.

So I just donated €20 and I invite others to do it as well.

(And they use Stripe for payments, which of course is relevant here on HN. And as a first time user, it was a breeze to donate.)

I donated. It's possible to enter the amount you want to donate, unclick "Be an EFF Member", skip all the "Donor Information" fields, click "donate to EFF" and you are presented with a bitcoin payment address. I wish they would just list an address that I could send a payment to rather than go through that rigmarole. But good to see that EFF are accepting bitcoin again.

They accept bitcoin, without any hassles or having to provide any information about yourself. Just a simple QR code for the bitcoin address:

If you already have a wallet, it may be the easiest way to donate.

Thanks for the idea-- This is how I usually get donations. I currently give the option of Paypal and BTC.

If you could by any chance set up a BTC address more may donate because of the lower fees. I will donate via the provided page, but just something to keep in mind :-)
