"Won't get fooled again."

sort by: page size:

... Won't get fooled again.

At this point, it's "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me", like it's tough to believe anything they say at this point.

Don't believe a word they are saying.

"No, you can't. Because you got duped!"

C'mon, just because they lied 295 times before doesn't mean they'll do it again. =)

They don't lie. They mislead.

"Okay, but seriously guys this time we're telling the truth."

They have. Unfortunately, they took the wrong lesson from the experience, they learned that you can sometimes get away with it and make a quick buck with overt lies, so they'll employ that strategy again with no regrets.

They've never lied before, and they're not about to start.

The powers that be have a track record of dishonesty. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... You can't get fooled again."

They'll never admit what everybody's suspecting.

Are they still trying to appear this way and is anyone still fooled? I don't get that impression.

yes, i can't believe people still fall for that..

Yup. The first lie they told us. Definitely won’t be the last.

That lie didn't last long.

That won't stop 'em. Confidently-asserted lies are more compelling, it seems.

"We know they are lying, they know they are lying, they know we know they are lying, we know they know we know they are lying, but they are still lying."

That's what they want you to not believe!

They lied before, so yes it's possible.
