You'd need to hide no matter the weapon.

You'd still need to hide if you happened to have a gun in the event that you don't, I don't know, want to get shot.

A gun is a weapon, not armor.

Having just any weapon is worth keeping a secret. From the moment you have a weapon, and an enemy, the later will try to disarm you.

You don't want to hide your weapons in an arms race.

I hide my real gun behind the fake one.

At least you'd be well-armed.

Yes but you’d never be sure. Not sure enough to disarm.

How much ammo would you carry?

It'd be nice to have enough to make an impression on anyone who threatened you. Aside from that, you'd probably never have to use it.

Pretty incredible to see as first response “If you had a gun may not need to hide”. From an European point of view.

You'd still be using the firearm, though. You wouldn't have shot it, but you used the threat of shooting it.

Who needs privacy as long as you have guns.

Isn't the secrecy enough? I don't see the need for a firearm if nobody knows you've been prepping.

But why concealed?

If you're doing all this bring your own gun.

You just don't walk off without your gun.

What the hell is wrong with me? You are the one who thinks one would have the need to "reveal" they have gun in everyday life.

simply shroud your firearm in a piece of cloth like the hitmen in gangster movies.

You could get the gun to prevent the conspiracy from taking place.

The gun is well concealed and I'm an accomplished competitive shooter - no I'm not concerned about that.

You'd have to gain control of the gun before them in order to empty it.
