Yeah, I’ve been a follower for just about as long as you have, it sounds like. It’s been interesting seeing her growth and evolution as a writer. I think this is the only thing where I subscribe to someone’s Patreon, but it’s well worth it. I should probably consider bumping up my support amount.
She does have a Patreon. As much as I hate the fact that we now need to crowsource these things, I think this is one avenue for us non-lawyer-adjacent folks.
This is a great time to become a patron. Simone and her team are going to be relying on the income from Patreon for at least the next several months.
I'm so glad that Patreon exists for moments like this, when a person just needs some time to deal with a health or a family issue and cannot focus on creating new material to maintain their finances.
Also worth noting that before the video was released she had a little less than 1k patreons and wasn't releasing new videos. So, she's probably been going through her savings for the past 6 months or so. She's not getting better any time soon either. So, this 9k number will probably decrease a lot in the following months.
Out of curiosity, do you visit Patreon directly on a daily basis, or do you just rely on the email updates? I rarely visit spontaneously; I just rely on the email updates from people/projects I'm supporting.
Yes, I was wondering where the author got those numbers, There's also https://www.patreon.com/senescentsoul who probably gets more than 5k a month since the minimum tier is $2.5/month
This is great. I keep telling people that Patreon is awesome. It is nice to have somewhere to send them instead of just saying "lots of people are making good money on Patreon."
