They could and it would make them a few million dollars, not billions of dollars.

Right. They wouldn't need that much money. That's my point.

But then the amount would be 1/1000 and it wouldn’t be financially lucrative enough

I mean, if anyone could, they would have hundreds of millions, no?

Yes, a company at that scale could do it, but they’d have to actually spend some of their $200 billion instead of hoarding it Scrooge McDuck style.

With a hundred billion dollars, they can do both.

In the context of this discussion, I believe "a few billion dollars" would be pretty cheap.

It can be with millions of dollars.

Would that generate even more billions in revenue, though?

They couldn't hoard a quarter trillion dollars while doing it. It would be a nightmare if they only had a hundred and fifty billion to tide them over until their next big thing.

You can't do that on $500M I'm afraid.

One could make billions furtively if they could.

They'd make even more money with five billion people paying $1.

I know, but that's still far from making a $1M+-or-so operation with a bunch of cash.

That's the whole point, you just can't drop that much gray money on something at once.

Would it take millions?

No. It would make $468 new zero. Plus none of the billionaires have any cash. You can't split their company imaginary market cap.

Yes? Even a billion dollars? I'm not sure you're actually answering my question.

Not really, having a few million $ is good enough.

Why make millions when you could make billions?

I think we're talking about > 50 billion dollars. I'm not sure even those guys have the kind of resources you would need.
