I own a Tesla. It is by far the best car I have ever owned. This is the only car which actually gets better over time. My Tesla now is actually 10x better than the one I bought.
I have a hard time believing that, considering Tesla has only existed for 12 years, and is already producing 50K vehicles a year that are rated as the best car ever built.
I can only speak for myself, but I have two Teslas and I'll never go back to another car after this point unless it's substantially better. I don't have any issues with mine and the speed and technology never gets old. Daily driving a car that beats super cars in 0-60, the quarter mile and tops out at 200 mph is a pretty awesome experience (and combined with the self driving, audio system, and giant screen with maps, and a GPU that plays Steam games).
Got to drive a Tesla last weekend. If this car is anything like the one I drove, even remotely close, Tesla wins. And I'm not even talking about the electronics panel.
Tesla's cars utterly dominate the sales charts for every segment they are in. If they're only being bought as a niche car, then I guess every other luxury automaker's cars are even more niche.
As an owner of a Model 3, I will say that it isn't just a really great car, it's the best car I've ever owned or driven. There are SO MANY different elements of the car-owning experience Tesla redesigned to make dramatically better for the user, not to mention the incredible performance of the car.
Do you own one? Everyone I know that owns a Tesla says it's insanely fun to drive. That includes a couple guys I know that own gasoline powered race cars in the same price range as well as Teslas.
This is a joke right? They make some of the most highly regarded cars of all time. Recently buying one and showing it off almost every single person (30~) was blown away at how much better it was then their car and wanted one in the future.
Tesla has many problems but making bad cars isn't one of them, these things are awesome.
Have had mine since 2019. About to hit 200k miles. Same.
Best car I’ve owned and it isn’t even close. Not sure who all these people are but they clearly haven’t owned a Tesla, or if they have, they haven’t used it anywhere near its limits.
I've had a Model 3 for 2 years now. Best effing car ever (I owned 3 prior to it). Haven't had a single issue that wasn't my fault. Service is super convenient, informative and fast. The lack of clutter, instant and sustained torque in addition to unreal handling, makes every other car, in its class or above (test driven cars twice the price), feel like a toy and pure junk.
So abso-lutely buy a Tesla if you've been on the fence.
Yes. At the moment, I think Teslas are the best vehicles available for purchase on the market, electric or otherwise: They have great performance, great reliability, long-lasting materials (my oldest Tesla still feels new!), decent service, and amazing charging infrastructure (at least in the US).
In 1-2 years, I'm hopeful other automakers, including MB, BMW, and Audi, will come out with new EVs that are truly competitive on all these fronts vs Tesla.
