You might like The British Baking Show on Netflix. No yelling, everyone is super supportive of each other.

I've been watching "How It's Made" on NetFlix, I am on Season 3 and it is awesome. Although, I do tend to get hungry for the foods they show :P

One show that does creative competition right is the glass-blowing competition "Blown Away" on Netflix. Interesting characters, fascinating and demanding medium, good affirmative vibe while allowing for honest criticism. My daughter rewatches the episode from both existing seasons frequently and enjoys the personalities.

There's also Ted Lassso which is one of the most feel-good series I've seen this year. And it fits the "workplace comedy" description as well (and no, despite it looking like it's about soccer... it's not about soccer).

On your advice, we just agreed to watch it separate rooms with no discussions at supper. No more calling Mrs. Oleson the meanest person that ever lived, in jest, that is OVER (we both are guilty of this one). We are going to enjoy it even if it strips the all joy out of life.

The actress who played Nellie said she used to get hate mail from fans of the show, who apparently couldn't distinguish her from her character. (She said IRL she was friends with the younger Melissa, and some of the cast attested to how nice she was offscreen--both from a special feature on one of the DVDs) Man, we aren't that far gone. It actually is the best part of our day, spending time making fun of Landon's hair.

I WISH THERE WAS MORE TV LIKE THIS TODAY /screaming

Second the recommendation for the series. They have some misses, mostly of the sort where everyone seems to talk past each other, but I learn something from most episodes.

Now thats some seriously good tv. I figured cake boss would be the one you'd hope we'd gloss over.

+1 for the Bluey suggestion. The show is very sweet and funny, multi-layered, positive, caring.

Gah. As an ex-pat I hate missing out on good British TV. I'll check this out - thanks!

Been watching this, it’s quite good! And I actually like the hosts. :)

Same here. You may also like “The Big Flower Fight” on Netflix.

I've started watching Cheers on Hulu for exactly this reason. Next will be Mash.

I'm 26 and I've heard of friends, but I couldn't differentiate it from cheer if you played a random episode for me. sorry.

In full agreement, it’s a delight. It’s always nice when you find a show that the family can all enjoy.

Tried Bluey? I describe it as a positive family sitcom. There are lessons to the episodes but they do a great job integrating them into the stories. I enjoy watching it on my own.

Unfortunately, only Season 1 is on DVD in the US. If you have Disney+, you can watch 1 & 2. No idea when season 3 will be released in the US.

It's a warm show about people who care about each other where the drama comes from social misunderstandings.

The initial pilot featured a more conniving Penny played by a different actress. The focus group feedback was "Someone keep that mean girl away from those sweet boys".

Think of it as a show for moms / grandmothers / aunts of nerdy men. They want to see them get up so some shenanigans but generally be OK.

It's also a low effort show to watch so you can throw it on in the background while you're doing other things.

Im pretty sure my mum watches something similar on TLC

Note: You can find some shows on youtube.

Cheers and abraços

I love that show, the only thing from Apple TV I actually watched. Got a subscription for buying something from them, and after 7 months decided to give it a go and try something less dark and gloomy. This is such a lighthearted gem, the perfect thing to watch for me right now. Not too much drama, just pure feel good stuff, don’t even know how to describe it, but I love that show.
