It's toothpaste

Tldr, it's toothpaste

It's a standard ingredient in toothpaste.

For sure I think it is toothpaste.

Is it whitening toothpaste? That's abrasive.

see toothpaste.c, line 2817

What about toothpaste?

Toothpaste. Ha. Love it.

but what's the point? toothpaste is mostly a fluoride delivery mechanism.

How did that toothpaste get to the store?

> Novelty toothpaste for nerds?

One that changes color the longer you brush so that you know you've brushed sufficiently (and not just blood-red to indicate your gums are now bleeding).

One that changes color based on where the calculus on your teeth accumulated, so you can target you brushing.

One that does the brushing for you, just keep it in your mouth for 3 minutes and rinse.

Oh lord...

That's using the abrasive silica in the toothpaste (aka "sand") as a very mild polishing agent.

Toothpaste blows my mind. It’s literally plastic in some baking soda type substance. Extra whitening? Larger plastic.

Just noticed this on toothpaste from Costco.

More than toothpaste?

Trader Joe's peppermint anticavity toothpaste. Was a bit odd at first as it has baking soda in it, but after a tube or two I think regular toothpaste is really the odd tasting one now. Cheapish.

Isn’t it in Sensodyne, a toothpaste readily available in the US?

Then this isn't the toothpaste for you.

But it's still in a lot of toothpastes. In that form it's really easy to ingest it...

I didn't know it was in toothpaste. I do know that it's in hand soap, body soap, and even tissues now.
