—-Weekly current affairs and news show dedicated to CyberSecurity. If this is your field, or next to your field, it’s worth listening to the news episodes at least (the numbered episodes).
Malicious Life is a very well done podcast about hacking. I’d say it’s aimed at mid level of tech savviness—you won’t feel pandered to as an expert, but they’re engaging, well-explained narratives that anyone can follow and enjoy.
Same here. He does a great job of making quite technical shows very accessible, and many of the shows are just a really great story. Other particularly good episodes - The LinkedIn Incident [0], Information Monopoly [1] and OxyMonster [2]
The podcast covers the stories of hackers, and the stories behind hacking attacks like Stuxnet. The creator comes from the cybersecurity field, so episodes don't shy away from including technical details. Each episode is well researched and very interesting. It is by far my favorite podcast.
John Hammond - Cyber security/ethical hacking. He explains what he's doing well enough for even someone like me, with very little cybersec knowledge, to follow along and understand.
Someone else also commented Nathan Baggs, also a great explainer of what he's doing (and he hacks some fantastic old school games too).
I didn't listen to that show for a while now; but it seemed that it was the only show out there that explained in details computer security news. I remember him explaining the speculative execution exploits when they first appeared really well when they first appeared. Does the people I know who works on blue and red teams listen to him? No, they already know that stuff, and yeah he could be more up to date, but he does his researc, does his homework and is a great pedagogue.
Darknet Diaries EP 7,8 - Manfred: Hacking Online Video Games for Fun - who: people who want to know why application security and input validation is so damn important
He gets a bit of (admittedly deserved) criticism on HN, but Security Now with Steve Gibson is great for anyone who is interested in security and the like.
