FB employees and/or "reputation managers" abusing the flag button, I'm guessing.

sort by: page size:

Just came here to post the same thing. Someone pressed the wrong button at FB HQ...

It's an internal FB thing. But the post was about that, too.

(No, I don't work there... any more.)

I think some paying fb haters out there. All Similar allegations are made much more often by other social media networks. someone is hiding something.

I think that is just a coincidence, definitely not intentional - it would be insane for fb to do that

What? Really? I don’t use FB but sounds like something anyone would do to game the system

It's almost as if this is actually intentional on the FB side of things.

Spite and/or sending a message/being seen to send a message to Facebook seem like likely factors.

I'm assuming this is being pushed/placed by Meta/FB PR.

This is my #1 peeve. I have friends who work at FB, and the mental acrobatics they do to justify this would have been quite amusing, if it wasn't such a daily annoyance.

This link just clickjacked my facebook and posted to my feed as me. Flagged.

This is completely strange, HN should look into who up-voted this story and see if there is an upvote ring or rings involved.

I suspect foul play by members of FB executive team / board.

if this is real (seems it is a real screenshot)

how could/dare FB do this, hmm... interesting... like to learn more...

Facebook uses a `--clowntown` flag to let people do things without normal checks. [0]

This happens notoriously on a Facebook I own. Always popping shit up about promoting posts and running campaigns.

At this point I've hidden at least 10 threads relating to this. I'm starting to think that this is a coordinated PR "attack" on facebook.

I would guess a FB employee is reading the thread

Seems to be a Facebook thing.

What does Facebook have to do with this ? Weird post

I wonder if I am getting downvoted by the FB oversight board :)
