Small steps are important on any road of transition. People often don't like big changes, and are more likly to go back to their old habits when the difference is to big.

Exactly. Small changes and a transition plan, not throwing everything that's established away.

Change often comes incrementally, in extrutiatingly small steps.

Sometimes small changes can make a big difference!

Change is good. Has to happen sometime. Can be difficult to get used to but thats not a reason to avoid change, just to think about how to smooth transitions.

Every lifestyle alteration you make has a difference. A small one, true, but if billions of people make small changes, it adds up.

Often times, its the smallest changes that generate the most success.

If a change is hard to make, first make the changes that will make it easy. Recurse.

People can, and do, change.

That's defeatist. Small changes are not the only things that matter but saying "everything or nothing" is not helpful. The collective change that's needed to effect change begins with individual steps, like not taking a private plane when commercial will do.
