I'm not a super Obama fan, but I will say that it would have made Obama's second term better as he would have been more responsive to his base. Trump has continued or intensified many Obama policies, which were in turn inherited from the Bush administration.
On the other side of the coin, imagine a Trump in his second term. If he seems to be acting against his base now, wait until he is free of electoral pressure.
I have a suspicion that any American President would have had to do this. Its true that these things did happen under Obama, but I am hesitant to think that someone else could have done better.
Eh, would you want to be extradited and delivered into the great unknown of a Trump administration? If Obama wasn't already packing his bags and trying to figure out how he's going to Tetris 8 years of accumulated crap into a U-Haul I think he might have at least considered it.
SHOULD HAVE. Presidents actually serving the people ended with Kennedy. The whole Snowden fiasco is one example that Obama is no nobler than any other president in the last couple decades.
Absolutely not. Trump is the only one who did it. Your comment is completely wrong. Acting as if Obama “also” did something wrong here is utterly disingenuous in an intellectually bankrupt way - it is not comparable to Trump’s behavior and any attempt to argue it is comparable is, at this point, literally the same as legitimizing fascism.
Trump is too pettiless for that.
