That's OP's argument, I don't think UBI is a solution that makes things worse. That said, I'd like to know what the alternative could be, hence my line of questioning.

What do you suggest instead? Because without UBI or redistribution of profit when everything is automated, I don't see any other solution.

Probably, UBI is the best first solution. In the sense that it acts as a collective bargaining system for all citizens who are forced to trade their time for income.

The Wikipedia reference OP provided suggests Universal Basic Income as the solution.

I believe the argument is that UBI could be conjured in to existence.
