Youre right. Before twitter took this step I was unable to decide whether to read the president's tweets. Every morning I am forced by twitter to read trumps tweets. Thank goodness this is no longer the case. /s
Plenty of presidents before him have functioned just fine without Twitter, I'm not sure why people are outraged about a single channel of communication, among a sea of countless others, not being available to him is a problem.
Twitter is where the president lies about US elections and says a lot of his racist things and endorses violence. And Twitter more or less lets it go, so that's not great.
I mean ... they don't. Twitter is really not that big of a deal. Removing his ability to tweet means ... almost nothing. He can still talk to the press, post to other social media, hold press conferences from the white house press room, he has no shortage of ways of getting his message out there.
There were US presidents before Twitter, you know that right?
Trump was the one who chose to keep using Twitter as his main medium of communication. He has a LOT of dedicated presidential communication infrastructure available to him. He is choosing not to use it.
The only thing that reflects badly on the US is trump.
