You might be surprised to learn that most of these people have no interest in working for you either.

None of this is true if you work for yourself.

They were never interested in the first place, for most people work is the means to an end.

There are lots of exceptional individual contributors with no desire to ever go into management.

None of these people self-described as entrepreneurs.

You certainly don't want to work for those people.

They are not entitled to compensation over their previous work, but you/me/AWS are also not entitled to their _future_ work.

No corporation or shares existed at the time the work for hire was done....
