1 is already mostly true at the federal level.

Or at the federal level.

+1 Moving towards more state-level government instead of centralized federally.

this is common federal level thing.

At the federal level, that’s typically what is done.

More true at the local level than the Federal.

> particular at the federal level.

I'm not sure that's accurate. State and local have shining examples.

Why federal level? State level would more than suffice.

The natural endgame for that is to place all governmental function at the federal level.

Exactly, and almost all of the relevant government people are organised by state rather than federally.

I stand corrected. I've updated my post to note more common federal positions.

I’m a fan of Americas federal system because of the dual level. The federal level helps ensure a certain level of protection from local corruption or ineptitude while the state level prevents the federal level from too much easy power. Well in theory, the federal level has garnered way too much power IMHO.

This is a decent point in favor of generally decentralized government. More local decisions, fewer federal decisions.

Well, a federal legislator has the states as a test environment. One of the great things about a federal system.

Yes, there are a handful of federal systems like this, but I think they end up increasing costs pretty significantly for people who want to operate nationally.

Ideally, sure, but I don't think that that federal government is really going to do better in the near-to-medium term no matter how many such articles are written.

Individual (and state government) action is mostly what we have, so that's more important than ever.

great! now let’s see this same thing at the federal level!

Sure, but this is not the case with state governments. My point may have been diluted by including the federal government.

Yeah, that went federal. Very interesting.

Yes but the federal government has only so much influence in local level decisions so it will still pan out to be a massive net positive.
