They will all eventually will migrate to US once the policies are relaxed. This is a typical path for immigrants who can’t get into US directly: Rest of the world -> Canada -> acquire TN Visa -> migrate to US
That's BS. TN doesn't help Canadians with family. Also US CBP can always terminate your TN visa on the border if they "think" you are abusing. H-1B is safer for that reason.
Not true... it is much easier for an American to move to Canada (and vice verse) due to the TN Visa. Essentially no process or redtape, all you need is an job offer in one of the qualifying professions (Software Engineering is one of them) and an American can literally present that to immigration 2 hours before their flight at the airport and get a visa stamped on their passport.
The best thing that could ever happen to Canada would get rid of that god awful TN-Visa. TN - Talent Nuke. Completely sucks us dry of people moving to the US.
Not that easy! TN visa is kind of automatic if one have engineering degree from Canada or related job offer. Even for 'software developer' it can be tricky. Also Canadian citizenship after 3 years is in reality 3 years + 1-2 years of the wait time. Source https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/se...
many people who are not getting H1B are going to Canada through express entry program. They plan to return to USA again after getting Canada citizenship on TN visa.
You can get your Canadian citizenship after a few years, which allows you to use the TN status under NAFTA to work with relative ease in the US. As a bonus you have a backup in Canada should the US go south. It's a no brainer.
