"I'll just duck on to the web and check"

sort by: page size:

They're gonna annotate the web though! Any day now...

> no computer can do that of course

Just check the frontpage again in a few years.

would be funny to look at the internet for a few days though

Don't worry. Google and the CIA have your back.

/duck and covers from incoming thought police

I'll do that once websites stop tracking me. I guess that's never.

And who is actually going to go to the website?

Or they'll just have people rating sites and looking for black swans like this.

Yes: doesn't seem like it's going to be very "deep web", does it?

Whatever. If you don't think this sort of thing isn't happening at EVERY web top-100 web site, you've got another thing coming.

> I hope it gets a billion hits.

1998 called. They want their web stats back.

Feels like that’s going to be next.

Or one of those tracking links from the Google search results.

They'll have to learn to search for this, once it falls off the homepage.

That already happened a decade ago: https://www.wired.com/2010/09/google-spy/

Yeah, this occurred to me too. Guess we'll likely be inundated with 90's websites for a few days.

Oddly enough, if everyone complies with their wishes, there will be no way to discover or get to their website. Suits me fine.

I'm going to do the same and I'm going to click on every single one that comes up. I bet the CPC for those things is obscene.

That's what WebRender will likely do.

I think it's safe to assume that every single thing we've ever done online is either now in some unauthorized person's hands, or will be soon.

they have a thing like haveibeenpwned there. i checked, but mine wasn't included.

this time

> I'm afraid that if you don't now unscrupulous people will start scanning the site and picking those up.

Good idea.
