Sarcasm isn’t difficult, interesting, or particularly creative. I found this particular post very off-putting and not-at-all considerate of my time.

sort by: page size:

it was clearly a sarcastic post.

It wasn’t sarcasm, per se, it was just a joke.

Poor use of sarcasm (as most sarcasm is).

The entire post is sarcasm.

No, the sarcasm is obvious. It's just not very funny, and doesn't positively contribute to the level of discourse here.

I do not appreciate the sarcasm.

That’s not what’s being suggested at all though. The problem with sarcasm is it’s boring but feels oh so clever to the person who writes it.

Frankly, my biggest complaint about the article was that the sarcasm was far too obvious to be funny. Not that I disagree with the idea that Sarcasm on the internet is really not a good idea.

I'd imagine sarcasm isn't taken well here.

The sarcasm was unnecessary.

Sarcasm doesn't improve anything, plus it's rude.

My entire post was sarcasm, though reading back through it it is rather dry and non-obvious.

I think the post was sarcastic

You hate sarcasm? That's terrible!

I guess sarcasm is a big no-no around here (for various reasons.)

That’s not the point, and sarcasm is uncalled for.

The near-rambling presentation suggests to me that the author would only claim sarcasm if the post was not well received.

Sarcasm is a lazy rhetorical tool that doesn’t translate well to the internet. IMO it’s best avoided online.

I quite easily recognized it as sarcasm. But it still wasn't funny. It was just kinda dumb and obvious.
