Agreed, but most of the side effects go away once you stop treatment, or only occur with long term use.

What about long-term side effects?

Not to mention the side effects of the treatment, which can often be chronic.

Yeah, for sure. I would imagine for those that have learned to live with it, the side effects won't be worth the benefits.

If I have read correct information; those negative side effects are from long-term use (years), not from multi-day treatment dosages.

Out of curiosity, what do you think are the permanent side effects for humans.

I have been taking them for decades but stopped recently since my life hasn’t really improved after all those decades.

Side effects can be a problem.

But it's an unpredictable side effect. It might just stop working a few years later...

I think this would be a fair argument if the possibility of persistent side effects were acknowledged and clearly communicated. Right now, if you go to get a prescription for finasteride and ask your doctor whether you might have side effects that last years after discontinuing the drug, they will almost certainly say, no, that's not possible.

And once people are addicted, and using it on a large scale, the side effects will turn out to be unpleasant.

Does that rule out the possibility of long-term side effects?

Side-effects may develop only after a while: a good reason for longer trials.

Those aren't side-effects, they are the main effects.

What are long term side effects only time can and will tell.

for me, the side effects lessened over time, and are pretty low now. Everyone reacts differently though.

Isn't that a side effect?

How do we know there aren't long term side effects?

Just curious, what are these permanent side effects that the article is talking about?

A single instance of a long term side effect in all of recorded history? You actually believe that?
