Really great! This reminds me of how epic and iconic this company truly was -- I lived in a constant state of delight as a child using their software and software developed on their platforms starting with the old BRUN command on apple ][

Wow. This brings back memories of my first job at Apple working on the IIe emulation board for the Mac LC.

Brings so much good memories! [Edit] and their macos8 emulation is even better

This was a fun trip down memory lane, lots of nostalgic good-feels.

I wasn't aware of either effort and this brought back the sense of an era of computing I once loved. It reminds me how transparent (perhaps moving towards ubiquitous computing) certain applications are becoming. I couldn't tell you how many times when listening to background music and working, I'd occasionally switchover to appreciate my current Winamp skin and even take a small break staring off into Milkdrop and then shift back to work. Now, I rarely take time to even look at my music application, it's just a means to an end--really a different era of computing where modern software just doesn't seem to give the same sense of personalization or character.

Thank you for your work!

Wow, what a blast from the past. I was only 9 at the time this was released and every bit enamored with the world of computers. My dad owned a data recovery business that also developed software. I was home-schooled and would visit his office frequently after class as I loved looking at all the hard drives and also loved the "computer room smell". There was also the office tradition of playing a game of Bungie's Marathon (which ran natively on Mac OS 9) before closing up shop. It wasn't too long after I would be saving up for my first tangerine iBook.

Good times.

Oh wow This hits some strange memories My dad installed it on our family PCs back then. I used it through my whole childhood and teens until I moved to MAC.

Thanks for sharing

Wow, does this bring back memories!

Ambrosia was a huge part of my early days with the Mac. Such great stuff!

Wow, huge nostalgia rush. I remember sitting in the Apple store with my dad while he got his first MbP, and using the emacs for kids and opening onto this page.

Speaking of nostalgic bliss, Infochammel does this for me. With its HC2K TechnoLoc encoding I get a strong dose of positive vibes reminding me of my Apple IIgs and childhood. I'm a huge sucker for that style of graphics.

So much nostalgia. It's funny but looking at these fonts reminds me of the good times programming these machines.

This brings back memories of my old iBook G3 and PowerBook G4.

I miss that weird smiley face logo-thingy.

Wow, that's a flashback to the <applet> days!

Thank you! Control program sounds even more nostalgic.

So much nostalgia seeing an "interface" like that :)

Nostalgic. Reminds me of the better days, the days when you could run any software you wanted on your Apple device, without even buying a signing certificate!

The teenage memories of hours spent tweaking this lovely program... Was the software I missed most when I went the Apple path.

I have nothing to add to this conversation other than to say how much I love each of these. It really takes me back to a time when I fell in love with computers, and how much endless exploration and excitement they represented. Thank you sharing this – it's nice to remember those feelings.

Maybe I was just the right age as a teenager back then and it does feel cliche to say, but there really was something special and magical about Mac software like this back in those days. I miss the pinstripes and aqua glossiness, but also the fact that software in other platforms just seemed so boring in comparison!

Beautiful! Brings me back to my early teens. We've really lost something in modern software.

OK I’m drooling reading comments from people who worked on that software at that time. Sounds like such a blast.
