The paid option is very expensive. I would pay for an ad-free only Youtube, but this option is not available in my country.
I already pay for Spotify and Netflix. So I don't care about other services of youtube premium except ads-free
Am I paying for an ad-free Youtube or a Spotify competitor? I'm not at all confident the money I'd be paying is going to the creators of the videos, or even feature development of the main Youtube platform.
If you can afford it, YouTube Premium is an incredible ad-free experience. I subscribed a couple years ago and can’t imagine ever canceling it. Plus it includes YouTube Music and if you aren’t locked into Spotify/Apple Music, you can just switch to that for your streaming music needs.
I pay for YouTube music for this very reason. Comes with ad free YouTube. I actually respect Google isn't a charity, but I value my time enough to not waste it on ads.
I'm paying for YouTube Premium and you get YouTube Music for free + ad-free too. I've started paying because ads were annoying on my smart TV YT app and I already used YT Music.
This already exists in the form of a $10 monthly subscription, $15 for a Family Plan and is included with Google Play Music All-access (and vice versa).
Just make sure you're subscribed, signed in and bam, no ads. True you could just use and ad-blocker, and I have an ad-blocker, but if you stream as much off YouTube as I do, it's worth it to be a paying customer rather than a belligerent user.
I recently started paying for YouTube, it sucks way less without all the ads, and I generally feel I get my money's worth. I know I could technically use AdBlock or something, but it feels really nasty to do so. YouTube Music is okay, but I still use Spotify, as the interface of Spotify is better.
