I'm sure there's an article in there somewhere: https://i.imgur.com/GqQCnVG.jpg

For some reason it even crashed my mobile browser.

As I was scrolling, more ads loaded and kept moving the text around.

Unrelated to the content, anyone else having trouble reading this article?

After three reloads from what seems to be way too many interactive ads, the page crashed entirely. I got about one paragraph in before this: https://postimg.cc/2qQ3qPjy

I can't read the article because of this horrible ad that takes over the whole screen: https://imgur.com/gallery/tBeOG

There are so many ads on this page, it crashes before I can read a sentence

That page was nearly unreadable in Chrome on my phone due to bizarre scrolling ads everywhere and eventually crashed and died. A pity, I was learning a lot.

Oh my, that’s a lot of mobile ads in your face while trying to read an inch of content. I don’t think I will be clicking mobile Gizmodo again.

What happened in the article though?

I imagine part of it is explained by the fact that when I did a search on a mobile device, nearly 90% of the front fold was ad.

The original page is so bogged down with ads I had to force close chrome on my phone to escape it.

As soon as I went to the page, it was hijacked by a huge advertisement. It literally loaded the article, then it disappeared and a huge advertisement showed up.

The entire page on mobile is a wall of ads with text padded around it.

I thought it was just my mobile browser (Chrome on Android) but every paragraph was followed by the same ad.

Can't read end of article: some black square keeps popping up and driving scroll to top. Damn ads.

Accidentally clicked on an ad on the site at the bottom, trying to close it. It sent me to one of those, sites that hijacks the vibrate of your phone, and a back button that does nothing.

If the creator of the comic is here -- please pick a more ethical ad provider.

Seemed like an interesting article until halfway through the 1st paragraph, (on mobile) a full screen ad locked down my whole screen and caused me to close the broawer tab. Booo

Offtopic, but, I made the mistake of trying to read this on my mobile phone this morning, where I don't use adblockers per se. Served at least 6 ads, even ignoring the nonsense at the bottom of the page. So annoying and disruptive that I didn't manage to read the story, and will find the details somewhere else.

We really needed a reaction against this nonsense which wasn't just adblockers.

Bummer.

I was enjoying reading through and enjoying the artwork but needed to TL;DR it, scrolled down more towards the end and was bombarded by a large popup Ad on the right of the screen clipping about 35% of the text I was trying to read, close tab, no idea what the site was about, something about travel.

Happens to me all the time with ads loading when reading an article on mobile. Very annoying!

I thought this would be an interesting article then about 5 seconds after loading the page a giant advertisement took over the page. So I closed the tab. Oh well.

i could barely read the article. the first pop up blocked the whole screen, and when I clicked the X I also accidentally clicked the ad behind it.

Then, when I was trying to read, the text kept popping up and down as ads moved in and out. I gave up at that point.

One of the ads broke on my phone(chrome) and made an infinate scroll so i couldnt finish the article. That doesnt happen on tv :-p
