It's much faster on Chrome than Firefox here (ubuntu).

On Ubuntu it's fast in Chrome and slow in Firefox.

Wow, it's faster in firefox than it used to be in chrome... while in chrome it's almost isntanteneous

It works much faster in Chrome than Firefox.

quick pointer - it runs a lot faster in Chrome than it does in Firefox

Firefox is still slower than Chrome (and uses more memory). For me at least.

Chrome without a doubt feels faster than Firefox to me. I think Firefox's performance has degraded over the past 6 months or so. I can't prove it (just anecdotal based on my experience), but it got so bad that I switched back to Chrome (and have been loving it).

This loads about 10 times faster in Chrome than Firefox for me

I also find that it's much faster in Firefox.

I'm on macOS and Firefox is at least as fast as Chrome. Granted, I'm on nightly with WebRender turned on, but that will be in regular Firefox soon enough.

Anecdotally, Firefox has always been faster than Chrome on MacOS for me. Great to see it’s only getting even better.

Did you try Firefox recently? I switched back to FF three months ago and it is actually often faster than Chrome (on Linux at least)

In benchmarks Chrome is usually slightly faster on average than Firefox. Really not something you would notice with normal use.

In what way is firefox still slower than chrome? Just, IME that hasn't been the case for ages now

That's odd, for me Firefox on Windows is slightly faster than Chrome. Do you have any extensions installed?

Twice as fast in Firefox as in Chrome.

it may be slow on firefox or firefox based browsers, but should work much faster on chrome/chromium based browsers.

Chrome feels a little faster to me, but I stick with Firefox because it doesn’t give me the same creepy big brother feeling as chrome and I can spare a few milliseconds per page load.

Come to think of it, I primarily use chrome to double check UI changes on a page served from my local computer. That’s probably the main reason it feels faster.

Firefox is fast, not noticeably faster though as Chrome seems to be a bit more aggressive with caching, and Chrome has better UI. I also prefer Chrome's autocomplete and search bar. Firefox is good, maybe even technically better these days, but Chrome is still more pleasant to use.

Firefox has been faster than Chrome for many years now.
