These over-reactions are bloody stupid. All technology comes with issues. But don't ban it, fix it.

After ten years of people claiming that everything they happen to personally dislike is objectively "harmful" and ought, therefore, to be banned, I'm exhausted and fed up. Technology is not harmful. If the market isn't weeding out "harm", it's not harm.

Here’s the biggest problem with big tech. Too many people think this behavior is just ok. ?_?

I think that backlash against tech has reached such a fever pitch at this point that a huge number of criticisms of it are overblown.

Does tech have problems? Sure. But in order for the criticism of it to be effective, we shouldn’t mix it in with general compliants about our current economic system.

That sounds like a bit of an extreme reaction to what seems to be a "this technology is yucky and I don't like it" problem.

That's just your moral crusade clouding your judgement so you can't appreciate the technology.

You're crusading for the kings of Web2, so they don't lose control.

Humanity will be fine, calm down.

It's never a problem with the technology, it's a problem of misuse of the technology and bad design.

It's just an ad hominem attack. I don't agree with you, so you're a "phobe". Technology isn't really the issue here.

100% agree. Too often we hype up technologies and try to force fit problems to them.

Agreed. This isn't a tech problem, this is a social problem. There is nothing wrong with the current technology, we don't need more code to solve this.

Maybe your country should worry less about the technology and more about the people using it. You clearly have a personelle problem.

I personally feel it caused an unhelpful epidemic of snark about technology. When you have a bug you're trying to squash and you take a break and skim Twitter, this kind of sentiment is like salt in the wound.

High-tech isn’t always the best approach. Someone should just bash the dozy fuckers who force these idiotic things on us.

No, it is a reaction against the terrible technology.

Sad how technology is being used in the wrong way and the implementations for good use is being blocked.

This is the ultimate problem. It's a human issue, not a technology issue.

Sometimes people take tech too far... this is not one of this times.

It's weird that tech people think that just because they invented something, they can just as easily make it go away.

Is that a problem? Isn't that how technology should work?

Two words: fuck you.

The issue is not the technology, but how we choose to use it.
