No amount of paying for things beats the experience of a decent ad-blocker.

It's cat and mouse game, but currently ad blockers win all battles.

I've never run into a situation where turning off the ad blocker was worth the content; I'll assume this still holds true.

There is zero cost associated with ad blockers, and they will significantly improve your entire web experience.

Plenty of people will pay nothing to block ads (I.e. use a free ad blocker). But when it's time to pay, different story!

I never used an ad blocker until the last month or so. Ive made money with content and ads before and I know it's hard to do. Sadly, things have gotten absurd lately. Chrome basically slowed my computer to a halt on an almost daily basis. The performance improvement from using an ad blocker has been tremendous. So much difference I have a hard time believing it.

As a side bonus I also don't have to deal with auto playing video ads and popover boxes asking me to subscribe to content I haven't yet had a chance to see if I like.

Ad-blocking is more akin to eating the good parts of an apple and then not paying the grocery store because you didn't want the rotten spots.

I use an ad blocker because it is basic security.

Yeah, ad blocking in general is what makes the web tolerable.

While it's hard to disagree, I'd like to remind everyone about that in many cases the alternative is to pay for services. The suckers who don't use AD blockers are effectively paying for our content.

Except navigating the web with an ad blocker makes it significantly more enjoyable.

Ad blockers are so good that I nearly forgot about this experience.

And what is more convenient than an ad blocker?

This experience has always been why I've been against ad blockers: in some sense it 'rewards' bad publishers who choke their site with ads.

I can't imagine navigating the web without an ad-blocker.

That is why I don't mind almost all current advertising, my ad blocker (disconnect.me) does a fantastic job.

Without ad blockers I would be back to using gopher and usenet.

I benefit from ad free internet since the first ad blocker extension was made.

I pay to skip ads wherever that's an option. I do use an ad-blocker because ads are annoying. What I don't so is pretend my ad-blocking is a grand crusade for privacy.

Using sites that are infested by ads is the very reason to use an ad blocker.
