Glad to see FreshRSS working well. Seems like most people are pretty happy with any of the big ones that come up (including miniflux). Good to be spoiled with choice, though for those of us that are indecisive....
Nice to see them getting coverage, we were at the same startup incubator (Greentown) before we both moved on to larger offices. I can attest that the food this machine makes is, in fact, tasty.
It's awesome to have alternatives (especially those that offer a distinct value proposition compared to its competitors) and it' great to see them growing! :)
I'm not a fan but I'm really glad they exist. It's like just off from something I really want, and it's clearly a good thing for a market that isn't quite me (and where there aren't many great alternatives). I hope they get their feet under them.
Likewise, as a former Lulu employee, I'm happy to see them getting positive mentions. They aren't perfect and their offerings have warts (like everybody) but by and large, they have a very nice offering.
This is a good crop and I can see a lot of success coming from all of these companies. There's a market out there and it's waiting to be tackled. Several of them are known solutions applied to another niche.
There is more of a real world feel to these companies. Robots, Big boxes of delivered things, instacart which isn't in this list, but is another example.
I also notice there's a lot more traction already with these companies than I remember -- it's a more mature bunch. I wish you all the best of luck. The journey hasn't even begun yet, but you've come a long way already.
This is great to hear. Growth without a corresponding decline in quality. I must admit, when I read the original article, I was a little skeptical it would work out well.
Are there any design choices you would particularly attribute the success to?
