As you say, democrats have two options:

1. Amend the constitution (never happening) 2. Come up with a platform appealing to a large enough coalition of states

Whining about it gets them nowhere and their only real option is 2.

Alternatively timed perfectly to let the Republicans hammer the Democrats if they win all the way until 2024.

I'm pretty convinced the Democrats will be toast as a party by 2030 once they get saddled with imploding the economy by no fault of their own other than bad timing.

The Democrats also would never go through with this. The Democrats are Establishment Elite who have everything absolutely perfect right now except for a little push from the far left that they're trying to crush.

Get this idea out of your head that the Democrats in the current form even give the slightest of shit about American's ability to vote safely & securely unless it has something do with Russia.

There's some merit to this. Chances are the democratic leadership won't let this through. Doesn't hurt to try though.
