I went to find the SKU for ya and was happy to find the seller is no longer on the Amazon marketplace! Maybe forwarding the emails they sent to jeff@amazon actually worked?

sort by: page size:

Nope they're still up, with 628 pages(!) of products that appear to be marked as "Currently Unavailable". Some sort of arbitrage or marketing bot? There's a lot of weirdness going on with Amazon Marketplace sellers, that's for sure.

What was the product actually? Everything just refers "look at the homepage!", which just tells me the product isn't available anymore.

Yes, just got "The item you tried to buy is no longer available"...hmmmm...https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-VzS7TgKtYRE/T-zQMcuxLXI/A...

They definitely removed it years ago, at least for me. The option to check mark “Amazon.com” as the seller was there and then it wasn’t over and over, and then eventually just disappeared.

Edit: I just searched shelf and hot sauce on Amazon.Com on iOS Safari, and the filter options do not show any way to restrict to items sold by Amazon.com.

I could be mistaken, but my understanding is that there is no indicator if comingled inventory is enabled or disabled for a SKU, and that even product sold “by Amazon” could be comingled.

Ah, I poked around. They still have a way to review sellers if you click on the seller from the Orders page, but clicking the seller's name no longer allows you to rate the seller.

Amazon.com is up for me, but is entirely missing product images.

I just got a message saying the item I tried to buy is no longer available.

Well, they are the only retailer I can think of that has to take their entire site down for several hours to add a new sku.

The search filter for Seller: Amazon.com still exists. Free shipping by Amazon filter also still exists.

I think the seller filter is hidden though if no other filter option has been selected first.

I am sorry to hear that. Amazon's UI is purposely designed to make it difficult to notice this kind of information. Buyers are lulled into a false sense of assuredness.

Listings are often even hijacked!

(And Amazon couldn't care less!)

Amazon's search function sucks hard if you're looking for anything other than a top seller (aka, a cheap knockoff of something) in a common category. I'm glad to see someone tried to fix this issue, even if Amazon was too short sighted to take advantage of it.

Amazon took the product - and the entire page in fact, down.

never thought of this but this is has been my experience exactly, lot of past bought cheap version of item disappear from the amazon own search and I either have to get them from the reorder interface or straight up use google to search the amazon's item page and buy it coming from the direct link.

Hey bro, wanted to see the duds myself and couldn't find your listing bruh

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=belt+bro+men&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

You got bro belts for women, but where's my belt bro?

Thanks bruh

/brospeak seriously, did amazon take down your listing or did you? The belt bro for men seems gone?

May be worth trying Amazon-- it shows if you search there. Not going to give Bezos the satisfaction of the actual link to the product page, though.

I find Amazon.com to have turned into a mess. It's very difficult, if not impossible, to search only for items sold by Amazon.com. And on the product's page itself, it's confusing to figure out who is selling it. I'm pretty sure they keep moving it to confuse people.

Another fix is to not create product listings for internet points. This product doesnt even show in search results on amazon (or at least didnt when i checked). Op didnt “find” it. They made it. Probably to maintain hype.

There is a 'sales' button at the bottom, but it's just a link to an email. I'm really not sure how they're even trying to sell this thing.

Maybe they don't want to any more? And this is just their subtle way of pushing everyone interested in using it away?
