They were presented in my education, though mine wasn't a public education.

Did you learn somewhere that wasn't a school? Because I learned in school.

I also did these in my good but non-elite American public high school.

They went to public schools where ever we lived.

I went to public school, man

uhhh, yeah - we attended public school.

I learned this too, in public high school in the south. Did you not receive this in your education?

Hrm, I went to public school in the 1980s and received a fair facsimile of a classical education.

Personally owned, in my former school's case.

What year did you attend? Did you have actual teachers, or just other classmates conscripted into teaching you things they themselves didn't understand yet?

Anecdotally, they were at my high school in the US.

did you go to public school? an ordinary one?

For me school was mostly a place where I discovered concepts that I didn't know that I didn't know.

Clearly my American public school education has served me well. >_<

I was about 2 years out of school, and yes, in the US.

Yea I was in school at the time.

Or maybe because you went to public school.

Was this taught at your school?

This partly reminded me of school, but at least I did get learned things in school.

It was stated as fact as late as the early 90's in my own textbooks, and I attended a private school in the NY metro area.
