"I find all these slavery comparisons in poor taste."
The employer got caught trying to enslave it's workforce. I think the comparison is accurate and should be classified as the worst sort of behavior towards a workforce.
"wage slave" is a pretty well-known, long-standing term for someone that works for another. It's not intended to be depreciating towards those enslaved, it's attacking the idea of using your labor to enrich someone else's life rather than your own.
Now, you may disagree with that, and that's fine...
"wage slavery" is such a disingenuous weasel word term. There's no slavery involved at all. Involvement is purely voluntary and you're free to leave at any time.
So using the "wage slave" rethoric is punished now by the Thought Police. Happy happy thoughts and be greatful for the opportunity to trade our lives for a measly pay working for the man.
