Welcome to wage slavery, friend. You can’t even criticize!

Hah-ha!

But "slave" != "wage slave", as explained in the Wikipedia article linked above.

Wage slave? Seriously?

> But "slave" != "wage slave"

Exactly my point.

"wage slavery"

Part of liberalism is accepting your own flaws and failures. Go and get another job.

Using "wage slave" unironically for cushy office jobs betrays a pretty severe lack of empathy and historical perspective.

Wage slave is a real thing.

You've hit upon the concept of wage slavery.

Wage slavery? Sabotage the company?

You have a very childish worldview.

"I find all these slavery comparisons in poor taste."

The employer got caught trying to enslave it's workforce. I think the comparison is accurate and should be classified as the worst sort of behavior towards a workforce.

You are mocking the suffering of actual slaves by comparing a modern highly compensated office job to slavery.

"wage slave" is a pretty well-known, long-standing term for someone that works for another. It's not intended to be depreciating towards those enslaved, it's attacking the idea of using your labor to enrich someone else's life rather than your own.

Now, you may disagree with that, and that's fine...

LOL at the "you gotta treat them like slaves for maximum productivity" argument.

> "You work or I will make you suffer" is slavery.

All work is slavery.

> Effectively, infinite slavery

I’m really sick of people equating working for someone else with slavery.

"wage slavery" is such a disingenuous weasel word term. There's no slavery involved at all. Involvement is purely voluntary and you're free to leave at any time.

So using the "wage slave" rethoric is punished now by the Thought Police. Happy happy thoughts and be greatful for the opportunity to trade our lives for a measly pay working for the man.

Your post does nothing to negate the fact than many, many people fall under the definition of a wage slave.

Private property doesn’t exist in nature.

maybe you should start your own company?

seems to me you chaff quite a bit about being a "wage slave"

Why is this so hilarious? Perhaps as just evidence of the level of wage-slavery mindset that pervades the world today...
