Which will obviously go precisely nowhere. Maybe they are a handful of people in Congress saying that, but it will never come anywhere near being law and even if it did it would be struck down immediately.

There is absolutely no reason for a law like this to ever come into effect.

Regardless of where you stand on this being a good idea or not, there is no way it can or ever will be legally enforced.

For exactly this reason, there is no way this law will stand in court

Assuming it is enforced properly which it is definitely not and most likely will never be.

There's no way this can get enforced

The OP implied that such a law doesn't exist, but there's nothing inherently unconstitutional about a new legislative act to enforce the concept.

> That will never stand up in court.

What's your point or objection to a hypothetical future?

Won’t happen, impossible to enforce.

There is absolutely nothing good about this law, and it really will be a disaster if it passes.

Given the fact that parts of this law are impossible to follow, I have no idea how is this thing going to actually influence real life.

Its essentially unenforceable: the only avenue left is Congress using violations as motivations for future action, but Congress doesn't need a law for a basis of that. Its pretty much purely symbolic.

My guess is this ends up being voted as inexpedient to legislate. I just don't see how they can even begin to enforce this and deal with all the edge-cases.

No law was passed in the first place.

There’s no enforcement so it will never work.

There is (currently) no such law.

That's exactly why that won't ever happen. These laws are named for a reason, the bigger part of which is simply to confuse the ignorant who have not taken the time to look beyond the name.

Yet another non-law that will there will be no enforcement.

I guess this is a legislative problem that will never be solved for obvious reasons.

There's zero chance that gets enforced.

There will never be enforcement because such a provision is not enforceable.
