Anti-unionism is political

sort by: page size:

Can you elaborate in the anti-union thing? I can't seem to find anyone discussing this.

Unionization is definitely a political issue.

Union's very existence is a political statement.

Unions are evil evil things.

I'm not a fan of unions, you have a narrow sense of politics

Unions are political groups not not necessarily ideological.

You mean the unions are not supporting the anti-union party? Colour me surprised...

Unions are antiemployer.

That's a big red flag to me.

Why is anti-union a bad thing? Couldn't resonate with the idea that union is saving workers. They are not.

Not to say, but historically, the only parties against unions are fascist and nazy, two far right mouvements. As such, they didn't be concerned so much with workers status and wellbeing than the corporate interest financing their parties.

The only reason a member of the working class to be against union is because they are either paid to be so or because they have been brainwashed by anti-union messaging.

As I said sometimes, far right leaning workers have traded their social rights in order to piss off black people and the jews.

Given OP’s reference to anti-union ideology being “inculcated” I was thinking Of authoritative sources. When was the last time you heard an anti union screed from a politician? (Versus anti corporate screeds?)

Why have you conflated combating anti-unionism as wokeness? That's such a strawman

The destruction of unions in America was not for righteous reasons.

Unions are generally vehicles of resistance to illegal and/or oppressive actions. HTH.

“We’re not anti-union, we’re just anti-everything-a-union-does.”

Unionization is an ideological flamewar to begin with.

What was the anti union messaging in question, I’m curious?

It's amazing how much of the labor force itself is anti-union.

One can be pro-organizing but not pro-union.
