Wikipedia's policy doesn't say you can't have multiple accounts, just that you can't misuse them.

sort by: page size:

Multiple accounts would be allowed since they don't circumvent the mechanism.

You can have multiple accounts, it's not very hard.

Interesting. I don't have multiple accounts.

what about the multiple accounts?

Well, i dont have multiple account

You can't use multiple user accounts at the same time. Easily anyway, that I know of.

Multiple accounts are allowed, sure. That's not the issue.

The issue is trying to use multiple accounts as a kind of loss mitigation strategy. If Google knows about your multiple accounts, and one of them gets banned, they're _all_ at risk of getting banned just for being associated with the one.

There is no way to stop people from having multiple accounts.

Who said anything about multiple accounts?

It is possible (if not the norm for branded accounts) for multiple people to use a single account.

This is a sample largely consisting of web developers, and people who know that you can have more than one account. That conclusion doesn't follow, in my opinion.

That's not enforced by the software. And a person can have more than one bank account.

> Isn't it technically against the terms of service to have multiple accounts?

No.

Why can’t you have multiple accounts? I have three: open source, gaming, personal.

It’s not like social media where you are required to have only one account and link it to your real name.

"There is no point in having more than one account"

I disagree.

Why the heck would ANYONE have multiple accounts? Doesn't that even violate the TOS? :S

Users can create multiple accounts

Unless you create two accounts.

This is intentional. They only want you to have one account.
