I have multiple backups, but they're all on drives in my house. If my house burns down, there go all my backups. That's why I keep all the important stuff on a cloud backup service as well.
Ah, you're talking about home user backups, then sure. I was confused because I thought we were talking about corporate backups and no corporation which does backups does them anything like how you're describing them.
One of the basic premises behind a solid backup strategy is that if disaster hits that it does not hit simultaneously in all places. If that does happen then I think you have different problems to contend with than trying to restore your backups.
