I deleted it too!

I still talk to the same people I was talking to before and eliminated a bunch of B.S.

Literally zero loss to my life.

I deleted it about 5 years ago. Here's what I always say in posts like this:

My quantity of "friends" went way down, but I was left with a handful of really good friends and meaningful relationships.

I deleted in 2008 it is easy for me to stay off.

I lost touch with some people but it did not impact existing good relationships.

Same. In fact, I literally just abandoned it. I didn't try to delete it. I just deleted it off my phone and never logged back in again. Been like this for 4 months now. Feels great!

I decided deleting mine was the best thing to do. it became so toxic

I deleted it in June.

Out of curiosity, why do you regret it?

FWIW I deleted mine under similar circumstances a couple years ago and don't miss it at all.

I deleted it in 2015 and just don't miss it ever, at all.

Deleted mine in 2010. 2 months was all I could handle was horrible experience then. It is a cheap way to keep up superficial relationship with people. If you had to put any energy/time keeping up a relationship with these people you would probably stop talking to them all together.

Deleted my account around them. I've just valued privacy more as I've aged. I don't want to "connect" with people I have no interest in connecting with.

I just deleted my account as well. I never really used the app due to a lack of traction within my own circle of friends, but now I have an even better reason to rid myself of the thing.

Same here, deleted about 6 months ago. Was just as surprised.

I deleted it in 2016.

Deleted it months ago and don't miss it even slightly.

I deleted mine as well after a similarly creepy event.

Also, after awhile, I just didn't see the point to it.

It's so worth it once you do it. I was on the fence for months about it, then once I deleted it, after like 3 weeks (I had a pretty strong addiction to it) it was completely out of my system. My life is truly better.

Here's another more in depth comment about the same issue of mine: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=6555467

I realized after deleting it I truly only have 4 friends in my life that matter.

I deleted it three or four months ago when I realized that it was just making me unhappy.

I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to purge my friends list of thousands of people.

I moved on.

Yeah I would have to agree. I just deleted mine about a week ago. I have absolutely no regrets.

I had 2000+ friends. I deleted my account two weeks ago and it should be gone by tomorrow.

I have no more interest in monetizing my connections for the benefit of a small group of people I don't even like or respect.
