No lockdowns are going to happen, but I expect to be masking up for at least another 6 months. Not a big deal, definitely better than it was last August, that’s for sure.

I really enjoy the lock down, I walk in nature, have time for the kids. The air is cleaner and there are a shitload of birds. I dunno, I am not anxious at all. I don't want to go back to the previous state either. I also stopped buying crap I don't need anyway. Stopped drinking.

EDIT: I have to state, we are not in full lockdown. We are allowed to walk around outside, as long as we don't have close contact with others. We have been in lockdown for 3 weeks now.

At least it's better than the lockdowns in 2020.

We’ve been in and come out of a lockdown before. I’m not worried.

It's not a permanent lockdown... just for a few weeks (so far)

In WA we've been pretty much living a normal life sans about ~4 lockdowns, most of which went for 4-7 days. It feels like ancient history. Last one we had was around April 24

I’ve not really come out of lockdown since late February.

Once there was any community transmission on the continent i knew the jig was up, so we were pretty cloistered off about two weeks early.

State numbers look good but I’ve yet to substantially change my behavior since I started working from home. Big restocking food trips several weeks apart, no-contact outside activities only, etc.

We’ve only started doing any kind of outside-only-masks-except-when-eating limited contact with family in the last 3 weeks or so, and even that is fragile feeling.

No need for that, we're doing fine. Most of the country is already on it's way back to normality. The most populous city is still locked down but it's better to be locked down for 2 months than to have the hospitals clogged with Covid patients and have everyone you know getting sick. Looking forward to enjoying another long stretch without restrictions after this!

In my area there are no lockdowns and businesses are thriving. Very thankful to be where I’m at.

After two weeks in June mask mandate is back. Mass gatherings are limited. Certain fasciitis are available only to vaccinated.

Practically, nobody cares anymore. Compared to first lockdown, when streets were totally empty (a sight to behold), last half a year is business as usual.

Yeah I guess that’s what I’m saying - whatever version of “lockdown” we’re currently in (which is simply recommended but not required masking in my city) is probably the “new normal”. The economy has proven it can function effectively and even grow GDP at this level. And covid is probably never going away given the intransigence.

I don’t think there’s political appetite to lock down things again. The left won’t go along with lockdowns this time; they’re too bitter at the right for causing this to drag out.

Rest assured, the lockdowns will be lifted as soon as we eliminate Covid.

The lack of rubbish on the streets, quiet nights, quiet streets, families out walking/biking and increased bird numbers nearby have been great. Being a lockdown enthusiast is probably a bit much, but I’ll miss aspects of it.

Yeah I’m sure a year of lockdowns had nothing to do with it, as lockdowns are free, right?

Just keep on with the lockdowns and everything will be fine. Safety first!

true but I mean its been a year and a half since the first lockdowns...this kind of seems like it is the new normal, right?

The UK has very definitely not ended our lockdown. We have started phasing out lockdown measures, but most are still very much in place.

Not yet, for now they have just made the mask mandotary almost everywhere. People will not accept a second lockdown

I'm thriving under lockdown - I get to sleep in three hours later, I don't have to take my son to school each morning, I don't waste three hours on the Subway, I get to eat lunch with my wife and son every day, I can lie down if I'm not feeling well, take a nap if I'm sleepy, watch TV while I'm waiting for jobs to finish, etc. Only downside is that I can't see the sunset and I had to use all my vacation time staying home last year.

No, it's not a lockdown. The province lifted those restrictions on January 31st provided you're vaccinated.
